I started this business with a simple mission: to bring happiness and joy to growing families, capturing those priceless, fleeting moments of early childhood through art.
How It All Started
My journey into nursery art began when I was pregnant with my first child. I wanted to curate their nursery as naturally I am an illustrator and nothing makes more sense than me creating their wall art. I wanted their walls to feel warm, captivating, and filled with wonder. Seeing how her eyes lit up from when she was a few months old, inspired me to share my work with other parents, which kickstarted my first business venture, Hide and Peek.
While life took a few turns and led me to close Hide and Peek, my passion for creating art for children never faded. After a series of life events and a new chapter in life, I reopened my doors under a brand-new name: Bluish Nest Art Studio.
Why Animals?
If you browse through my collections, you’ll quickly notice a recurring theme: animals!
There is something truly magical about the connection between children and the animal kingdom. Little ones view animals with so much love, curiosity, and pure awe. Whether it’s a gentle safari creature, a curious woodland friend, or a playful Sea Animal, I carefully draw each piece to invite storytime, imagination, and comfort into your nursery.
Transforming Nurseries into Art Galleries
My absolute favorite part of this work is helping parents transform a simple nursery or bedroom into a curated art gallery.
I used to sell my art prints at baby expos and outdoor fair markets and they ended up being very successful. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than hearing from parents who viewed the prints, see the fine details up close, and tell me how amazed they are by the hand-drawn artwork. Knowing that my art plays a small part in making their baby’s room feel complete, warm, and joyful is why I love what I do every single day.

Tiger Art Print
I spent over 16 hours in total illustrating this art piece which is probably why it is one of my favourites. Customers were always in awe with the tiger because they couldn’t believe how real it looked and it was drawn by me.
